On behalf of Vietnam Association of Japan Alumni (VAJA), we would like to extend our heartiest congratulations to Japanese University Graduate Association of Singapore (JUGAS) for completing 50 glorious years of success. Since 1970, JUGAS has achieved tremendous growth and have built eminent goodwill in our Japan Alumni community. As an experienced organization within the ASEAN Council of Japan Alumni (ASCOJA), JUGAS has always played an indispensable role in the promotion and enhancement of public understanding towards Japanese culture and language. In that spirit, JUGAS has always been earnestly dedicated to social activities despite numerous difficulties.
Lately, with the dynamics of our ever-changing world, cross-cultural boundaries have faded, while people have become closer and friendlier. As a natural result, the relationships among ASEAN countries and between ASEAN and Japan have become more unified. However, further enhancement is still essential. The COVID-19 pandemic this year has shown us how vital mutual support is, especially in the time of need. Therefore, it is of enormous importance for ASCOJA members to stay connected and supportive to each other, while continuing developing together through more practical activities. In that journey, we are sure that JUGAS will be side by side with us – other ASEAN countries and Japan.
